Sterility of water

For misting cases and what-not...just how sterile is bottled water?
I know that once you open it, it isnt completely sterile anymore.
But before you do, is it? I mean, i guess when they bottle it at the factory
airborn shit could get in it. So im wondering how much I can rely on that.
Actually this question is really for making spore syringes. Cause I have an idea for it.

Couldnt you just take a DARK syringe and rub alchohol on the side of a bottle, and then poke the syringe through, and squeeze it out. Then tape the hole and shake.
Then you can do the same thing with empty syringes to fill them with the bottled
spore solution. ????

For misting cases and what-not you can use just about any water. The mycelium is quite stable at that point, but for spore water you've got to be VERY sterile because it's going into a pure colonizeable substrate.

Your idea may or may not work, I wouldn't risk all that work and time just to save a few dollars.

I'll probably always do drugs, so that just contributes to the addiction to The Shroomery... It's a vicious circle of bliss. :tongue2:

it would be best to set aside a few minutes to boil the water, just to make sure, but thats my 2 cents
