Marijuana sounds better but I don't like it because of its origin. I.e. the name was invented by the U.S. govt. to make people associate it with Mexican immigrants. It is essentially a propaganda name (or so I've heard, I don't have a source on this), similar to the recent trend of calling salvia 'Mexican Tripping Weed'.

I think technically it would be more accurate to call it Cannabis. It's the scientific name, and they seem to be going for that approach.

I'm a big fan of the word cannabis... it's all I say. I don't use 'weed' anymore.

i tend to use the word nuggets or nugs in normal situation.
just cause cannabis doesn't roll off the tounge as easily.
