dessicant idea = cat litter crystals?

I have noticed that some brands ( the kind with clear crystals) of cat crystal litter are made of silica and nothing else. Has anyone ever used this stuff to dry shrooms?

It would probably work to an extent, however you'd be much better off getting the dri-rite or dri-z-air at your local hardware store!!

I have looked at home depot, lowes, and even walmart for some dri-rite or dri-z-air and havent found any yet. What exactly is it used for b/c when I asked people at the stores they didnt know what I was talking about and they wanted to know what it is used for. Like is it used for paint or something other than just sucking up moisture?
