So audiogalaxy has gone the way of Napster. I have Kazaa but the selection of music is very limited. What's next?

That sucks... I'm just about to get my cable modem hooked back up, and now Audiogalaxy is gone.

I don't even know what you guys are talking about but I agree. Anytime something gets discontinued even though it's serving the masses --that can't be right. I dunno man. I do think that Metallica's drummer is a pompous ass.

yea, I was pissed off when I was trying to download some oakenfold and I couldnt!
Direct Connect is the way to go though. www.neo-modus.com There will be no shutting them down.....hopefully. I just used AG to find certain songs that were a little harder to find on DC.

Know what's next? INTERNET RADIO IS GONE! This US government CARP agency( i don't know what it stands for) is forcing $500+ royalties a day for Internet Radio stations to operate, forcing them to fold. Talk about crap.

WinMX forever.
Kazaa's great, yes, if you like your computer being loaded with about 20 different information collection softwares and random snooping tools from lord knows who. Go download a copy of AdAware and just tell me how many different pieces of spyware it finds, even though you unchecked the install boxes for them.

check Kazaa lite home page, it's kazaa without spyware, it just installs a bogus .dll file (to not be deleted with ad ware)...

Ya, I also just found out not too long ago that all the songs are restricted now. Luckily there are a lot of other programs, but I did like audiogalaxy. Thanks for the link for the light version of Kazaa.

id have to recomend WinMX as well. Ive been using it since before napster was forced to restrict song titles, i love it. The latest version rocks. Software of the Year imo!

SoulSeek is the best out of those, I think. It's good if you can't find what you want is too obscure to be on KaZaA. And it's got a neat chat thing. And it's easy to use too!
KaZaA Lite + SoulSeek, better than Audiogalaxy.

Is anyone still using Xollox? I hear there's another version out, I've been using Kazaa Lite quite unsucessfully since AG became as useless as titties on an 80 y/o woman. Looks like I'll be re-installing MIRC soon.
