ok, so i dont have a working camera yet for this computer...how i hate vista.
anywho, i have found two species of mushroom today and i will try to describe them as closely as possible until i can get a camera to work. this is my first id request so bare with me, any other info needed just ask.
mushroom one:
Habitat: dead wood, possibly straight from the ground.(theres been a flood so wood is everywhere) there was one, alone, looked around for others, none found.
Gills: dark maroon - black, cant really tell if they are attached or not, the mushroom pretty much turned to mush by the time it got home.
Stem: white, very fragile, hollow.
Cap: white, looks somewhat like gills on the outside.
Spore print: jet black, very wet and mushy.
Bruising: black on cap(possibly from the spores), none on stem.
mushroom 2:
Habitat: growing straight from dead log, many found.
Gills: white, unlike normal mushroom gills that ive noticed, in like a spongy format, attached
Stem: light brown, hollow, very sturdy.
Cap: light brown, smooth, with an inny belly button in the middle, lol.(couldnt find another way to describe it)
Spore Print: either white or very light grey.
Bruising: none noticed.
location for both: eastern panhandle WV.
i will try my hardest to get pics soon. i dont expect these to be edible or psychoactive, just trying to get them out of the way.

Nice descriptions. For the first one I would guess some kind of Coprinus or maybe Psathyrella. The second one sounds like it could be a stalked polypore of some sort. These are just wild guesses though.

It's called a shaggy mane. It's a choice edible if you get them young enough.

Might also want to look up some boletes for mushroom number 2. But most do not grow straight from wood. Can't think of the name of the stalked polypore that is in my head right now, sorry.

it looked almost identical to a blue foot except its dimple on the top went in instead of out and the gills were just weird looking, not straight or wavy, but circular, looked like a sponge.
anyway i thought i saw some gyms today as well, but the pack i was carrying with me wasnt big enough to carry em, they were as big as my head lol.
im debating on whether or not to go looking again tomorrow, we dont get very good rains around here too often, it was 90 today and gonna be around 80 tomorrow, its also quite dry in the woods(the flood i was talkig of happened a month or two back), ive been turing over stumps to look for moisture trying to find blue foot psilocybes, but cant find hardly anything.
Edit that, its supposed to rain tomorrow, but we are in somewhat of a dry pocket, so im doubting it. but if it does im gonna wait till thursday to go out looking.
