Cover the buckets?

Do you have water in the perlite?

about 1 inch of Water with the amount of perlite should suffice. If you already have that then you might want to try and seal your terrarium tighter.

Your hygrometer is shit then.

If you have perlite and water in a bucket with a lid on it then your humidity will be near 100%.

Get a new gauge. Preferrably an analog hygrometer with a calibration screw.

Do you normally have water condensation on the walls of the bucket without spraying?

My perlite wasn't working before, but now it is.. what I found made the difference was putting ridges and grooves on suface of the perlite so that it is more able to wick up the water.

Look on the faq for perlite humidification and follow the directions to the T.

You might want to allow the bucket to get some near direct sunlight in the day time. If the bucket is translucent, the sunlight will raise the rH. (according to my lawyer!)

that's the one i use it reads 3-4 % too high try the salt test. Wet table salt in a baggie creates 75% humidity i think. i bet i got that messed up so do a search.

Lower the temperature to 74F, this will raise the humidity.

Also make sure there is a tight seal.
Perlite does not want to be too wet, make sure the surface is damp, but the perlite isn't puddled.

Good luck
