It's easy to spend more than have with a credit card...
Do not get one.

Before you know it the companies have what they want.. YOU in their debt. That means they make a FORTUNE out of you in interest.
That's the catch. They will do anything and tempt you with numbers so you come under their control. I'd strongly advise against it.
STRONGLY.

If your minimum payment is 15 dollars on 500 dollars of credit you can pay it off in 3 payments without paying more. That builds your credit better than paying something off. Depending on the card. My Wells Fargo card only charges me monthly interest if I pay the minimum amount. One dollar more and no interest is added that month. They are big on annual interest so I have to watch my end of the year amount.

I know a lot of people think credit cards are evil, but I dont. You just have to know which card/cards to get with each company so that you will not end up paying an extreme amount of money more than you borrowed. Im only 21, I got my first credit card when I was 19 and my credit score (with only 3 credit cards) is over 700 and I just qualified for a 200,000 dollar loan for a house I am buying in TX.

If you arent dumb, credit card companies cant screw you over.
