What temp is the jar at? Why do you think its drying out?

My advice would be to do many jars, so if you lose a few its no biggie. Plus you'll want more mushies in the end anyhwo.

Probably just need to be patient with this one jar.

I agree with buffalo trance. The more the merrier. If your idea was to only use one jar so you could smother it with attention, thats not the best way to go about things.
As far as it drying out, my only suggestion would be to remove it from the enviroment if its dry air. And, maybe sterilize some water, and inject 1cc of water into the cake to help moisturize. I don't know if that would really work, but it seems logical. I'll be crossing my fingers for ya

It definitely is a good idea to do more than one jar, but, seeing as it's a little too late for that now...

You could inject more water into the cake, the same way you injected the spores. There's a risk for contam, but if you thoroughly sterilize the water, and keep everything airtight and sterile, it should probably work.

Or you could inoculate more cakes.

It's cool!
I was away for 2 days and when I came back the mycelium had grown A LOT! Now it becomes more and more everyday!!

Since you have that one jar, Go ahead and sterlize some more substrate jars and innoculate them with a tiny bit of that one jar. I usually will take a fully grown jar and before casing it I will flame a scapel and cut tiny bits and innoculate several more jars. This cuts way down on mycelium grow times.
