Gungrave and Trigun are my favorit, the creator has such great ideas.

Gungrave is about 2 young gangsters who end up in the mafia and how they work their way up to the top and how power leads to corruption and such.

Trugun is about a gunslinger on a planet that resembles the out western times, and he has 60 000 000 000$ reward on his head. Theres alot of funny parts in it but it has real deep idology within it.

also, bleach was a good one about death gods and evil spirits called hallows, very good.

another good one is called hack//sign, its about a boy who while playing a VR Online game, goes into a coma and finds himself actually stuck in teh game. It sounds kinda dumb but its actually real good, I loved the music too.

I don't really like any of them. I love Miyazaki's films though, and from what I remember I enjoyed the Tenchi series
