Anyone know what kind of Dehumidifier this is?

I was in Wallmart and picked up some "Keep it Dry Closet Dehumidifier" made by Willert Home Products. It was beside mothballs and all that stuff. Its in a breathable top sealed plastic tub with a net weight of 6.7 ounces. Looks to be about a pint total volume. Has a realy bright orange spider webbed lid.
Was wondering if anyone knows anything about this product. A google search didn't turn anything up for me. It says on the container "Drying Crystals" but it doesn't tell what they are.
Think it'd be safe to dry some shrooms and prints with this stuff if I take some of it out of its container?
Since its in a plastic container, it obviously doesn't mention anything on it about being able to put it in the oven to re-energize it. You guys think that whatever type crystal is inside would be agreeable to baking?

So I put the shrooms in a gallon ziploc and sealed the dehumidifier container in there with it. Decided to just leave the crystals inside their bin.

i'd be surprised if it was anything besides really coarse silica gel
if you live somewhere semi-warm you can simply leave it out on pavement in the sun for a few hours and it will dry up and "recharge". used to have something similar sounding to keep my old trunk from stinkin' coz it had a leak... leaving it out in the sun is exactly what the package suggested
thing worked great too no trunk problems after... before it i had a grasshopper or some crap lay eggs in the wheel well where the spare tire was man what a mess haha

you have to pre-dry them before you seal them up, set them on a screen or news paper and set them in front of a fan for at least a day, the diseccant wont be able to hold it all (the moisture)

you may be able to get away with low temps like 200 for around 3 hours but I'd split that puppy open and dry it at 350F for one hour

I couldn't find anything besides this in our walmart. I checked in the hardware/tools department, paint, automotive, and the only place that had any kind of dehumidifying was the houseware section where I found that thing.
I dunno why my walmart doesn't carry anything usefull

No worries, dried them on a screen infront of a fan for 4 days or so

if you want something else, look for "crystal" type kitty litter. they should have it at walmart, pet stores, even grocery stores. its basically silica gel. i paid 7 bucks for a big ass jug of it and you can microwave the stuff to recharge it and re-use over and over.

Awesome, I'll have to pickup some kitty litter. In addition to my mycology needs, the damn clothes dryers quit working before my jeans were done.... so my closet needs some dehumidifying.
