man, now you're freaking me out about the lepiota, because that one on the right looks just like a cube, but has white gills and doesn't blue at all. The others all had brown/black looking gills, and all but one I could verify bluing on the stipe, the one being too dried out to be absolute about bluing, but since then all the dried looking ones are dry as crackers pretty much, and I'm kinda nervous about those. There is one that is a definite positive and the other I printed, plus a very immature one that blued so I'm going to keep those and trash the rest.

I've got at least two more on the way if those cowpies produce, and I'm sure there will be many more after that, so I'm not taking any risks here.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not stupid enough to blindly eat unidentified mushrooms. I could have been stupid enough to convince myself of an ID when I couldn't possibly have a 100% positive.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talkin about. And coupled with the fact that the overaged ones produce unexpected or undesireable effects, I had to go back one time to check the print color. It can and does happen.
Some of the Pan. sub. id's are a good example, dark, dark brown can look mighty black when that's what you really want to see :stoned:

Copelandia cyanescens used to be Panaeolus cyanescens.

I'd put it the other way around. The sub-genus Copelandia isn't widely accepted, and much debate persists over the classification....
I'm not sure exactly what to believe, but lumping seems most reasonable in this instance.
