Curiouser and Curiouser! ID Request

Found a weird little mushroom all by itself in the grass by the side of the road in NW Florida this afternoon. Its been warm, and it rained .5" yesterday and about the same today. Humid. Nasty.
Here's some pics. It looks like a pie-shape piece had been cut from the mushroom when I picked it... then I realized that might have separated that way as the cap expanded outward.
From the side of the road, I was like "that's a cube growing in that grassy field!" I don't think its a cube, but now I have no idea what I'm looking at. LBM? But what exactly?
Habitat: Grass - growing in cultivated grass next to am office building. All by itself.
Gills: Gills are rich coral pinkish-purple. The gills are free.
Stem: White. About 1-2 cm diameter. Maybe 2 1/2" long.
Cap: White to buttery-gold in the center. Generally flat, becoming more convex in the center. Approximately 3.5" diameter
Spore print color: A salmon color.
Bruising: Bruising present, tho' none at the stem where this mushroom was rudely picked. You can see it on the cap, post being flattened somewhat for the spore print. Bruises a burgundy, purplish color.
Location: Picked in NW Florida.
Brusing + spore print:

Spore print + underside:

Very good photos and information.
You say the spore print is salmon... but it looks green on my monitor.

It's an Agaricus, maybe something like arvensis. There are good edibles in this family, but there are poisonous ones, too. So attention to detail is important for proper ID (bruising and smell are important).

My significant other says tan/khaki... its certainly a weird color that I haven't seen before in a spore print. I'm stumped.

Smell is like fresh earth. The bruises on the top of the cap seem like dark purple. Now that this guy has been picked for a couple of hours it is bruising around the edge of the cap. That bruising is more brown/black. The gills which were a fine deep pink light purple when it was freshly picked (second to last photo) are now burgundy/tan.

Red bruising is typically a good sign for edibility in Agaricus. The poisonous ones bruise yellow, but it can take a while to see it. To check, cut the stem lengthwise, then scrape the inside of it. Check for yellow staining in 30 minutes or so. Also, most of the poisonous ones smell awful. The sporeprint should be a chocolate brown, yours looks like it didn't go long enough. Give it 6-12 hours to get a nice thick print.
Nice find, description and pictures!

I'm starting to think this guy might be an Inky... but I've never seen so much pinkness in one of those. Then again, I'm kinda new to this discipline!

Nope, not a Coprinus, Coprinellus, Coprinopsis, nor Parasola.

It's an Agaricus. Many species have pink gills when young, then as the spores mature the gills turn a rich brown. I think LouiseLouise's suggestion of Agaricus arvensis is likely correct.

The "bruising" you're seeing around the edge of the cap could be spores. To check the bruising, scrape the inside of the mushroom *hard* with a knife edge, then watch to see what color(s) the bruised flesh turns. Be sure to bruise a full cross section of the mushroom from top to bottom - different areas can turn different colors. Color changes can take up to an hour to happen.
Happy mushrooming!
