pets can always tell when you are tripping, just be kinda careful and mindful of that when you start tripping. the first time I tripped my dog acted like something was wrong and he was kinda scared. he's a little dog and he jumped up on me and licked nonstop (he normally doesn't like at all) and when my gf called him over to her (she was my trip sitter) he just sat on my lap and shivered and kept looking at me and licking. While it is cute now at the time it was really unnerving to have this tiny white dog running around really fast jumping on you and licking you and wont stop even if you try to move he just climbs on you to lick and you put him down and he jumps right back up. luckily my gf was there and could tell he was bothering me so she just picked him up and held/pet him.

the point is if you pet acts like something is wrong because they think something is wrong it can make you think something is wrong and thats just not someplace you want to go

(now my dog doesn't get worried anymore and just does his normal thing)

I don't trust cats much when im tripping. I think the egyptians were on to something. I always got a good laugh out of my dogs though. Except for, hmmm maybe 4-5 years ago, when my friend is petting my dog in my living room in front of my parents FREAKING out about how good her fur feels and rubbing his face all over the side of her. meanwhile, the cops are outside giving another friend a DUI. we all laugh about it now but god, what a mess, lol.
