$5 Hunting Guide
    #6898295 - 05/10/07 03:33 PM (16 years, 10 months ago)

This is a plain and simple hunting guide. Everything you need to know about hunting Florida (+ Other States) is here. This is a step by step instructional, so listen up, and leave comments, etc. Lets make this a learning experience.

O.k. first go to Walmart, Kmart, etc. and buy a cheap igloo container.

This is to put your shroomies in, so they don't turn to black mush.

And walk over to sporting goods and get a tiny blue LED FLashlight.

This is to find those shroomies, blue LED makes the shrooms glow, and is low key.

Now you've got your gear, wait for a good rain, and wait two days, then check the hour by hour forecast for humidity, and temperature for your area at Weather Channel

When the weather is 80% Humidity or better and the temp is 70 degrees or above, go to the field you're going to shroom, and pick these:

Happy Hunting.

Ummm.... A lot of us do not need flash lights. I never pick at night.

Also, there is no need for a thermos, paper bags a great- they hold a lot, and can be folded up in your pocket until needed. You can bring two, and not be inconcenienced by having to carry two bulky bottles.

It's a good way to hunt in Florida, just for the simple reason of the handle on the igloo, i.e. good for running from cops when needed. And the flashlight, it really does help, but God I miss my night vision goggles.

wow night vision goggles sound like a waste of money just go in the morning or use a flash light and the Thermos sounds like it would rot them it does keep in moister and paper bags are more useful who cares about a handle lol (I'm not trying to flame just trying to prove a point) but this is not a guide

Yes and when you are out in the farmers field in the dark and he sees a small light flickering and gets his shot gun and fills it with salt or you step on a water moccasin or a cottonmouth or Easter Diamondback rattler in the dark.

An interesting story is that cubes can be seen in the moonlight in fields in Florida. I picked at a local dairy with legal permission with my son in 1979 in Jacksonville for six months.

I did come across snakes, moved a rock once next to a cow pie and saw a black widow spider had a nest under the rock along side the decomposed manure.

Mj IN the cities where shrooms grow around peoples homes, home owners have called police about people with flashlights int eh bushes.

mj

And I use Cereal boxes and Ritz cracker boxes which are better than paper bags.

If it works for you.

I like that i can fit large mushrooms in the bags, and be able to fold them.

Love MJshroomers picture! I never go at night. There was one time a field close to a major freeway was loaded with thousands of cubes. I waited til the next time it was full and even bought night vision goggles. Well I am still waiting for it to produce and that was 4 years ago, and I have never used the goggles. Now I go during the day in a couple of secluded areas and it is very safe.

I'd probably never find out anyway. I go early morning. Don't have to worry about nosy people. I could see myself out there looking with the blue light if I was tripping tho. Be kind of cool wouldn't it? To be tripping and looking for active mushrooms that glowed.

You could sell it on e-bay and just say it is the leaf of industrial hemp. Industrial hemp contains very very minimal amounts of THC and is legally sold. I doubt anyone would buy and tear apart a tray from ebay and test the leaves for thc content, lol.

You should laminate them with verathane like artist do with posters on wood. Then it is perminent. It is like a fly in amber.

Howard made them famous. Look him up on the internet for some of his wooden posters with frazetta, Velejo, Jones, etc.
