I'm finally wrapping up this 20 page paper tonight that I've been working on for over a month
and damn it feels liberating

Its a transfer paper, Im extremely late, but the uni told me I could still hand it in, so Im trying to write the essay tonight so I can mail it out tomorrow.
And for those who chose to write it for me, the compensation is all of the following:
- a hug and kiss via ratings (or in person if youre willin to make the drive)
- appreciation
- a huge fine when we get caught (you get to pay my fine aswell, thank you  )
And damn mike, what you writing about, and whats it for?

its for my english 161 course
the basic concept is authenticity v. conformity, I go into free market capitalism and how it produces an illusion of choice, consensual validation (I threw in a good paragraph about psychedelics and why they are illegal ), biased + oversimplified media, intrinsic human qualities and how culture creates dissonance with some of them, and a bunch of other stuff I will spare you

I like to think of myself as a good paper writer, but I just don't see how I could write 20 pages. I hate long ass things like that, if I was an English professor I would say "There is no minimum, as long as you meet the requirements of the paper." People who write short papers because they're lazy would fail, but if it's short and gets across the points extremely well, then more power to 'em!

I'm writing a 3 page paper thats due in 12 hours. Have not started it yet. Its going to be an persuasive paper on stem cell research.

I agree with you pretty much
however, the paper I'm writing is justified to be long. Its a synthesis paper that combines aspects from a bunch of different authors into one paper. Basically the whole class was shaped around this paper, and all the previous papers that I wrote this semester have been incorporated into this one.
The professor didn't say it must be 20 pages long, she left it somewhat open ended but when I asked she initially said around 20 but was hesitant with the answer. in the end she said anywhere from 13-20, and like you said, she said she would rather have less with more than more with less if you know what I mean
Mine actually ended up being like 19 1/2 pages
I always thought of myself as a weak writer, but I got to skip an English course after 1st semester because I did so well I guess, so maybe its just me...
