That thing is colonizing tha whole terrarium!

I've birthed a cake on a metal lid that I places in a terrarium filled with wet verm. The cake slipped a little and is touching the layer of vermiculite. I didn't care much at the beginning but now I notice that the bottom vermiculite is slowly getting colonized

Is this a bad thing? The cake has been lying there for about 10 days and still no pins....

it's a bad thing to use vermiculite in your terrarium, use perlite, it works much much better.

It wont mean anything special. It still has the same amout of base nutrients so it will not fruit any better.

No its not bad but its not good either. Like Hermit said, you should not be using vermiculite as a humidification source. Use perlite. Verm will dry out fast and leave you with low humidity and you may not catch it till your cakes get too dry to fruit...
