AS I and others have noted before about your laziness, you need to use the google. Everything u you asked about is on the google and on the www.

I spent ten years in libraries reading to learn the scientific side of the shrooms, and another thirty taking photographs.

Use the search engines if you want to know about them. Most likely the only one you will probably find would be P. caerulipes but you seem to post your questions in two or more forums at a time. I saw this same list form you a while back and you are still not looking.

mj

Are you so lazy.

I do not think you found the pictures you say you did .

P. silvatica is a cold weather mushroom and is found in clear cuts in Sept-October before the freeze.

And I really doubt the finding of Psilocybe liniformans var. americana. There is only one collection on deposit and that is in Michigan and I believe it is less than a dozen specimens. A couple of those were later deposited in Corvalis herbarium when Beug and Bigwood analysed it and found some psilocybine but no psilocine. It is also found in Chili in South America.

Its alleged season is in fields from mid to late summer until the freeze., But not during the extreme hot months. Once those are gone, they may or may not appear.

They are similar to liberty cap

Also, regarding P. silvatica, they appear in small amounts in larger colonies of P. pelliculosa, another species extremely rare in the wild but abundant in clear cuts. P. silvatica grows in the late fall before the freeze.

mj

Oh yes, Stamets just referenced the 1983 citing of Guzman in his Genus Psilocybe.

And not every shroom in Paul's book is correct. there are numerous errors to expensive to correct in printing.

Another example of error is Paul's identification of Panaeolus africanus at the Seattle zoo in Elephant dung.

Only problem there is the elephants are Asian and not African.

His image of P. papilionaceus is P. sphinctrinus and he also misidentifies the shroom with my name on it as by Allen, Merlin and gartz and it is really Guzman, bandala and Allen.

There are many more.

Paul spends 99% of his time in his labs doing culture work and hardly any time in the fields these days.

mj

have a shroomy day.

Are you saying that i didn't even look or find any pictures or are you saying that the pictures I found are just mislabeled.

Panaeolus subbalteatus
Psilocybe liniformans var. americana
Gymnopilus aeruginosus
Gymnopilus luteofolius
Psilocybe caerulipes
Psilocybe silvatica

which ones would you say would be mislabeled

I found what was labeled to be correct. As i have not found these how could i tell the difference.

My bad, I thought you said you had found pictures to post because you had found those species.

Good luck finding them. No one else has yet, except p. caerulipes and a o couple of Conocybes but enver enough to get one high. They take 75 or more shrooms. They weigh at 1/3 ounce per fresh dose. Thats a lot of shrooms but they arer tiny and abbout no more ever than three inches inn hi eight, hiding below the grass in sphaghum moss.

The Silvatica is rare And so is the Liniformans.

The gymnopilus taste so grow, I personally avoided eat them all my life. I nibble on a chunk once from Dr. Steven pollock. My mouth was bitter for about an hour and puckered horribly at the taste. The spectabilis taste the worst of them.

I wasn't able to get a pic, since I didn't have my memory card in the camera.

But she plans on going back and looking for more. So if she has some over there when I go over I'll take some pics.
