Identifying in my garden (Central Texas)
    #6876321 - 05/05/07 02:21 PM (16 years, 9 months ago)

My husband and I have found multiple fungi growing in our garden around our yard: small clustens of brown mushrooms, large phallic red mushroons, buttery yellow, etc. I would love to know what the different kinds are, but am not sure how to easily go about this. I don't know if they are native to central Texas (where we live) or not, so I don't know really where to start my search. Any ideas?

Photographs, spore prints, and check out your local bookstore for National Audoban Society mushroom field guides.

You could check out the guidelines for making and ID request and take some pictures/descriptions so that we could take some stabs at getting them identified.
