By far my favorite movie to trip on has got to be hands down The Yellow Submarine by the Beatles. It has the highs the lows and everything in between to get you fucked up. It is a great movie and the soundtrack kicks ass too.

I think Fear and lothing prety cool especialy if you have read the book and you notice little details in the back ground that you normaly wouldnt see. Also any one notice when watching something on acid its as if your part of the movie like your sitting in a car with the actors.

i can never get passed the bathroom scene of fear and loathing when i'm tripping. that's always the point when i get kidn of sick of it.
easy rider is a great movie, but i could never see myself watching it when i'm tripping, not one of those kind of movies.
yellow submarine is good, i bet nightmare before christmas would be cool as someone mentioned, nightmare on elm street 3d, or friday the 13th part 3 3d would be crazy when it's all in 3d. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind would be an interesting one. the grateful dead movie.

what dreams may come is still a trippy movie to this day, even years after it was made...i totally agree.
but yea, waking life completly changed my perception on alot of things pertaining 'reality' i saw it on my laptop going home on a train and i tried to turn my overhead light on and off and it didnt work, soooo it made me wonder if the whole trip home was a lucid dream or some offshoot of reality. real heady shit.
requeim for a dream, total goodness natural born killers, absolute craziness (i saw the color changing for real the only time i triped on lucy) i also enjoyed pink floyds the wall, obviously, and andy goldworthy's film on his art. real earthy and trippy how he connects our lives with the global conscience of life itself. good shit even when ya'll are sober!!
but for me, the best movie for tripping...
is the movie in my head haha
peace and much love

Malachi said: It seems that when a person is getting used to any psychedelic experience there is a tendancy to try to make the trip 'trippier' by subjecting the tripper to bizzare images, irrational though patterns and monolouges, etc. For instance, the first time I tripped on acid, I watched fear and loathing in las vegas. In retrospect, I can see that care ought to be taken to ease mental anxiety while in this mysterious and vulernerable state. Even if someone isn't say, caught in a destructive thought loop, bizzare distractions will interfere with the trippers ability to perceive the greater bizareness of reality.
fear and loathing in las vegas is a pretty intense movie on mush...at first i didnt kno if his acid halucinations were me trippin out or if the movie was supposed to be like that.
