Humidity in incubator

I am trying Ryche's magic birdseed tek for the first time, and I am afraid that my cakes may be a little dry. I was considering putting a tray with moistened perlite into my incubator to raise the humidity. I have jars with filter discs on them and a mycobag with a filter patch. I'm afraid the gas exchange may dry out the cakes. Should I do this (perlite) ?

yes a big bowl of perlite wetted as you would in a fruit chamber with some h2o2 , because the disks will let out too much moisture if tjhe heat is all dry, and you would have to either case them or dunk them to get a decent flush,,but if they are allready too dry, pray that they will colonize, then dunk them before you fruit,,,,
