Jesse Ventura not seeking re-election

Jesse Ventura is not seeking re-election. This is a sad day.

I don't live in Minnesota, but i've enjoyed hearing Jesse Ventura on TV very much. He's more honest than any politician. I like him for that, and many other reasons.

Why is Jesse good for America? We need more honest politicians in office. If for no other reason, to keep the other politicians in line.

Jesse is not a career politician, therefore he makes his decisions based on what is best for the people, not based on what will get him reelected.

I'm going to miss Mr. Ventura. He is a hero of mine.

I liked him in the beginning and even wrote to him. However he turned into a typical politician just like they all do towards the end

The only reason he is not rerunning, is because of the beauraocracy. He wants to continue to be political. He feels angry. I listened to him and Nader be interviewed on some fm radio station during the election year. He explained that his party was took over by the Republican party, and how even though he was governnor, he was helpless to actually push his agenda. So if he continued to run for office, he would inadvertendtly give good press to the Republican party.

I like Jesse, he was always honest, and backed up what he said to the best of his ability. The point that all should take from this is that an honest man cannot be a successful leader when he has to deal with dishonest men.
