Drying on the back of the monitor!!!
    #687167 - 06/18/02 11:09 PM (21 years, 5 months ago)

I just thought drying on the back of my monitor will be cool The thing is that the temperature can get up to 50 degrees Celsius sometimes. What do you think? Too high? Thank you.

I dont want to say No, that wont work... But it would probably be easier to use a cheap fan, and fan em for a day then make a little dessicant chamber per PF Tek/MMGG. I have found that these two combined will dry em very well

Heat degrades the active compund in psylocibes. Best to use only a fan or dessicant.

Go ahead and dry on your monitor. It works just fine, I would reccomend placing a fan near the monitor to move the air around.

Drying with any heat will decrease the potency of your shrooms as stated earlier.

A fan will dry them as good as a monitor anyway and with no heat. After a day or two put them in a box with some dessicant and a day later you have perfect cracker dry shrooms that will last for many months.

I used to work as a tv repairman way back in the eighties... Back then if one was to totaly cover up the vent holes on a set it could result in it over-heating and blowing a semiconductor. (perhaps modern CRT type monitors are not as sensitive)

I would be sure not to set any fungus directly on the vent holes on top of a monitor.

Drying them on your monitor would not be good. Instead, send them over to me and I'll dry them for you and send them back (less water weight and commission of course).

Not above the CRT but you can try two things:
1- At the back of the CPU case, right in front of the power supply fan, that is if the fan is blowing to the outside, some fans blow to the inside, exhaust (not the power supply one)fans always blow to the outside.
2- Inside you CPU case, open it and put the shrooms inside. I will only recomend this if you have a good air flow inside your case, an example how things can be done is using two fans, air inlet at bottom front of your case and air outlet at the top back of the case, i've tried this one with good results, feels good to frag on UT with shrooms inside your PC, yeah ! that rimes .

Peace,
MAIA

BTW, 2nd option refers to a tower case, desktop might be more dificult but that's the time when you got to use your imagination.... oh! i was a sort of overclocker freak btw, i got my case with some fans and i've built a couple of water blocks wich i don't use anymore, so yeah, bear me!

Peace,
MAIA
