Question about RF and BRF

What is the difference from normal rice flour and brown rice flour? Would it be ok if I used normal rice flour?

Q: There is a rice flour in the local supermarket, it is rice flour to make a creamy drink. Will that work?

its very simple....buy some organic brown rice (I'm almost positive the supermarket sells it, thats where I bought mine) and grind it up in a coffee grinder! voila.

One's brown, the other's not. I don't know. I think brown organic rice is a wild rice with no pesticides and or chemical additives which would protect the rice from bacteria and so fourth inhibit the growth of cubies like domesticated white rice would. Like I said, I don't know. Wheres Anno when you need him?

no the supermarket doesn't have BRF, i live in venezuela...

Just get regular brown rice. Take it and grind it up in a grinder.

I'm sure you can order it online. I've seen posts that talk about white rice, but I have no experience with it. Good luck.

has anybody experienced growing shrooms on normal Rice Cakes, instead of Brown Rice Cakes?

I've never tried growing on white rice, but I know that white rice is bleached, and doesn't have nearly the nutritional value of brown rice. I belive that white rice also has a slew of other chemicals added to it as well, which, I'm sure, are bad for growing fungus of any kind..

if there isnt BRF where u live you should just use other thingsas a substrate - like straw or birdseed or rye or whatever...
i dont wanna need to order stuff from abroad, getting it a month later.
just improvise with whats around you, ask questions if u need and you'l find your own way.

you can make pf cakes with millet or any other grain as long as you grind it up in a blender or whatever. wheat grain will work as good as rye grain if you are going to start using casing teks.
