I herd it gives you a more "hectic" trip and you can see faces in the smoke, and also it doesent take as long and you wont feel sick. Someone else told me you can get sick from spores in your lungs. So is it bad to smoke them or should i just stick to eating them? or both at once for that matter :P

smoking shrooms doesnt get you high unless your using aminta muscaria the heat breaks down the drug

Yeah heat breaks down psilocybin. You don't need to smoke them. They're suppose to be eaten. Or made in some kinda brew. Thats all you need. Just get five or six shrooms (about 6 inches tall and 2 inch caps), and eat them. Or mix them up in a blender with some OJ. Then talk to the little orange penguin sitting in the corner of your room.

In all fairness most of you should know that psilocybin or better yet the converted into psilocin is NOT the only active chemical in mushrooms. There are so many, it is VERY possible for the extras to have psychoactive effects when smoked.
That being said, most of the effects achieved from smoking our little psilocybe friends are most likely 'caused via placebo.
I know I can't control what you choose to do to your own body, but heed my advice before torching your capped compadres. After a lot of thought and consideration I still think smoking fungus is just begging for a lung infection.
But do what you like, cheers.

It works, well, a little, it doesn't work all that good. But it's an untruth to say it doesn't work at all... last about 15 minutes, oh and heat may break it down, but it's not always instantanious.

I had a few syringes of P.C. spores in the fridge and they just looked so tempting I couldn't resist! I grabbed one, tied off my left arm, and injected 2 cc's! WOW!!
I triipped like never before!! Blasted to the moon for about 5 minutes. Total ego loss set in and I thought I was a cloud, then the sun, then a blade of grass. A minute later I was back on my bed with a blood clot on my arm and an empty syringe, with spore water dripping on me from the ceiling. I guess I had spuged it up there in my impaired state without realizing it. Oh well, I have more.
If you beiieve this, you'll probably believe you can trip from smoking shrooms too.
Shrooms don't even burn! What are you using to light them? A cutting torch?

I heard from a few people its a mellow high, not worth the waste of mushrooms - maybe if you've got an abundence you could give it a whilrl.
Now how do you know they dont burn if you've never tried smoking them tripmaster? You've tried to burn a dried mushroom without smoking it?
(they all know something you dont, and they dont want yout to know about it   )

Didn't say I never tried it, I did 22 years ago, when I didn't know any better.
It definately doesn't work. They bareley burn at all, so you cant get much smoke out of 'em, and nothing happens from the tiny bit you do.
Point is; JUST EAT "EM! Munch 'em, blend 'em, grind 'em, whatever, but they go down your esophagus, not your bronchial tubes!

and the answer is yes. Anything you smoke will fuck up your lungs. Or rather, it matters how much u smoke. Smoke is not good for your throat or your lungs. By the way, if you want to smoke something, smoke some pot. Shrooms are made to eat, not smoke...and ciggarettes to me are just plain smelly

dried shrooms burn just fine, and i might have imagined it but i definetely got a weird buzz from the smoke when i was already tripping. The smoke was like mushroom gas and i felt like the smoke went way beyond my lungs. Pretty weird.
It's not a thing you should try just to see if it will make u trip, but if you're already tripping and have some dried leftovers, smoke it and see how it tastes.. It'll be somethin else.
And yeah, smoking is bad for you. So fucking what. Breathing the air these days is bad for you, food is bad for you, basically everything is.. Do what you want.
