Ok I just had an argument with a friend about whether Golden Teachers were the most potent cubensis mushroom.. I dont think they are. So what is?

This is not from personal experience but i hear that Puerto Ricans are more potent than other strains...

I don't know about the rest of you but I think type of high is more important than potency. Besides you can always eat more if you need too. But to answer your question. From my experiance I have only tried 3 different strains. One unknown commercial strain, which had decent potency. Mexican Cubes I got in amsterdam, kinda weak. And I tried my own PF's which were by far more potent than the others and had the best high.

I agree with that, while we all love potency i believe there are different things in different strains which can't be isolated, a mushrooms " Character" if you will which changes the experience and i so love variety. i have seen major differences
in the few strains i have been lucky enough to come in contact with. But then again it could all be in my Head!! LOL in anycase it's all good.

I think it may be more of a synergizing affect that an isolated thing?
I guess that's what i'm meaning to say without saying too much. or not
i haven't heard about any other chemicals other than the other two which make
P.C. illeagal and which are "responsible" for the effects but if that' all it is the effect shouldn't change and i found it does greatly but like i said it could just be in my head
Why have you isolated other chemicals? or heard of anyone doing so? please share.

That's true buy I'm sure he meant to say what is the most potent "psilocybe" or what is the most potent "shroom".

It really varies from batch to batch. My friend had some lipa yais grow nicely one time average potency. The next time none of em got very big and most aborted and they where extremly potent. 3.5 grams was almost too intense from them. I had the worst mindfuck, could barly even talk or know what was going on for about 2 hours during the peak.
3.5 of cubies normally gets me real giddy and nice, but not overly intense.

well generally aborts are stronger than fully grown or ones with spores. most pslio is produced in early pinning stages and all cubies are same just about in strength when in relation with eachother the only p strain that is stronger is azures and amanitas are supposed to be really potent too

Azures are the most potent of chemically analysed psilocybes - aussie psilocybes are up there too id wager!
As for Cubensis - GTs can vary - a good isolated strain can stain blue/black and be hell potent - the first time i grew them they were shite though...
More potent cubensis in my experience were PES Amazonian, GTs, Argentinians and Tasmanians - try them and im sure you will be happy!

Well I know with Mexicana, it doesnt take a lot to get high... you can get a decent high with over a gram.. but I never took a whole eigth .. others have and never got that high.. so if I can get high with just a gram and others cant get high with over 2 grams, then I guess it depends on the person and tolerance.. I'm a lightweight when it comes to shrooms.

The way to make a strain super potent and keep the super potent shrooms is simple:
1)Get a well known and vigerous strain known to be potent.
2)Grow the grain spawn at a lower than usual temperature and allow it to consolidate for at least a week past full colonization. (Stress weeds out weaker sub-strains allowing a strong strain to dominate the jar)
3)Add a phosphorus source to the mix, such as calcium phosphate for part of the gypsum. (This pushes the fungus to make the more stable psilocybin instead of psilocin.)
4)Use a good quality substrate with live harmless bacteria so the fungus must actually fight a little bit to survive. (Forces the fungus to make more actives to kill the bacteria to consume it)
5)Sustain the colonized bulk substrate for about a week after full colonization and lightly case, Fruit at a lower temperature. (Stress delayed fruiting conditions forces the fungus to make more active chemicals to protect itself.)
6) Harvest shrooms just before the veil breaks. (time of higest concentration of actives)
7) Dry at low heat and vacuum seal them.
