Day/Night temp differentials in fruiting

well, we all know (at least most) that day/night tempurature differences will effect the growth of certian plants,...
...and since we all strive to create the 'perfect' environment for our shrooms, what do you think of the importance of the difference in tempuratures between day and night???
everyones reply is welcome, and i'll throw in my 2cents every now and then, because i have a few theories.
thanx shroomerites!!!

i dont have much input for u but that sounds like a very interesting experiment one could try

i have read about five posts in the last couple weeks by RogerRabbit where he says he thinks the mushrooms like the drop in temp at night.

ya i recall some posts on this subject as well. what we are trying to do as mycologists is recreate nature in a controlled enviroment. nature had this figured out a looooong time ago. so theoretically when u drop the temps at night, ur creating a terrarium closer to the course of nature than constant temps and that should, in theory, help the shrooms. now the only question is whether the difference is noticable and worth the effort. ill leave this experiment to those who have the time/equipment which i have neither.

nature replication is always best.. Drop in temp during night time probbly stimulates the mushrooms.

I use a As a fruiting chamber. (24 cubic ft upright)
It has Internal lighting. (on a timer 12/12 off/on, mimicking day/night cycles))
It is positive pressure ventilated. With an external humidity source.
   Modified 18 gallon plastic drum w/bubbler, fogger & fan
   Rh runs about 96/98% during the day cycle. And, about 90/95% during the night cycle.
FAE is 15 minutes on, 1 hour off (cycled 12 hours) during the day cycle. And, 15 minutes on, 1.5 hours off (cycled 12 hours at night)
Ambient room temperature is maintained near 68/72F. (in winter & about 74/76F in summer)
Internal temperature increases during the DAY cycle about 8 to 10F. Because of the heat generated from internal lighting cycle.
So, in winter it runs 68/72F at night. And, in summer 72/76F at night.
During the day cycle, it averages about 8 to 10F warner.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Prior to the existing drum Rh/fAE system. I used a jumbo cool mist piped in.
 Which was later supplemented by a jury rigged; Dual Cool Mist internal system.
Which I swapped out for the existing system. Because the extremal drum has a 15 gallon reservoir capacity. And, was easy to automate, with simple inexpensive timers. http://cgi.ebay.com/3-Marineland-Aquarium-Hydroponic-Light-Timer-15amp_W0QQitemZ300087428112QQihZ020QQcategoryZ46314QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (96 off/on 15 minute increments in 24 hour cycle)
why are you only running FAE 15 minutes and 1 hr off? On all my other FC's I have run FAE non-stop. Like a coolmist on all the time. Does the barrel Create such a powerful blast that it blows all co2 buildup out in the short period.
Also does running the fan 24/7 if it is slowed down with a rheo-stat can you leave it on all the time.
My freezer is like yours only it is piped in at every shelf.
I also have a herps temperature controller. How would I get it reduce temps. I use EL-wire for lighting which generates No heat
