CPU fan FAE

Alright so I ready read another post on this... but i wanted make sure that i didnt need a type of filter for doing this...

Instead of using a cool mist or fanning myself... I could just use a CPU fan to blow in air... and one to suck out air... right?

Do they need filters... I assume not

No filters, but they'll dry the heck out of your terrarium air unless you have a good cycle timer. Drilling holes in the fc is easier.

in my opinion you just need one blowing out. most (generic) computers only have fans blowing out the back. they design the case so air gets pulled in the front from the fans in the back...

of course i'm one of those freaks who has like 8 case fans.

you'd need to put it on a timer and things. like that. make sure you keep the humidity up there.

So just have one on a timer blowing out with a few holes drilled in? Have an ultrasonic to maintain humidity on a timer as well?

honestly i'm a simple man, if i was to do this i'd follow RR's advice and just use perlite for humidity. why make things complex? doesn't sound like you're doing a martha since you're trying to use a computer fan.

RR said before in another thread just to drill tons of tiny holes on all sides of the fruiting chamber. even bottom. supposedly it will be in the video.

So i should just stick to having holes in the terrarium? no fan?

if you're just doing small tubs, i would say yes.

if you're doing martha setup... thats another story.
