 pros & cons of casing cakes VS growing on rye

Don't want to wait on a pressure cooker or rye to arrive mail order. I have everything to start cakes. should i wait and order the other equiment? I have a martha closet fully automated already. It seems if you case cakes the yield pretty good.

Crumbled cakes can be just as good as colonized rye. Personally, I like using a cheese grader.
I say don't wait.

Rye outperforms BRF hands down but success in your first grow is more important and BRF and the PFTek will give you your best chance.
Fruits are generally much larger on cased rye BTW.

Grain spawn to substrate is the most practical way to attain a large yield. No doubt about it.
