Anyone work for professional lawn care?

What do you guys do to make lawns so nice?

I till, seed, and cover bare spots with straw. I water....

Still looks nothing like the dense carpet some get. What kind of chemicals/fertilizers do you use? Are they available?

I just bought my house last year, and my lawn looks 100x better than it did, so i guess it just takes time, but...

any pointers?

There is a lot to it, man... Buy a book on turf care and in a couple/3 years you'll have some awesome grass.
