n8, white milky water is usually a sign of contamination, and over watering, but dont give up. Now, temps should be somewhat higher - around 80-85 F. and kept at dark.
Do this and you could get a few cakes colonized.

Later,
tweedy.

If your using that many syringes in only 12 jars ya probably have to mutch water and that milky stuf at the bottem is water and rice flower.

alright, thanks for the tips. loosened the lids and took the tape off to dry them out, and put them in my drawer with some insulation. and originally i thought it might be contamination too.... but the white growth on the bottom does look a lot like in the pics.

Dude that is alot of spore solution. You know what I do, I poke one hole right in the center of the lid and inoculate one cc in the center. It works great less chance for contams with four holes and saves alot of time to. Also the mycelium colonizes the whole cake evenly and at one time. You don't have to worry about the center of the cake at all. Try it next time.

I have to disagree with all of you people I use ONE SYRINGE PER JAR and none of my jars become over saturated and I have lost one jar in my past 109.

Don't worry yet, just wait another 3 or so days. If you don't see any growth of mycelium after that then you might want to be worried. If you don't see any change after 5 days open one of them up and smell it. If it smells foul then you have contamination and you may have used too much solution.

Well it sounds like mycelium. The spore solution may have just went to the bottom of the jar instead of the side (don't know why), and you should see some stuff on the sides soon enough. You should keep them in total darkness, man. TOTAL DARKNESS.
Crank up the heat too.

and after twelve hours in the warm darkness, theres a bit of mycelium on the sides of all the jars. i think the stuff on the bottom was just flour and water like neophyte said... things seem to be okay now though, so thanks for all the help.
