Miracle Grow

i was just wondering if anyone used miracle grow on thier casing? i used some on my 50/50 BRF casing and the fruit's were much bigger. i didnt get all that many shrooms, and a few aborts, but the one's that grew were WAY bigger than the one's i got befor. you can find all the pics i took at my site, you just got to look around. go to "patch" for the daily growth, then go to "TC" for the big one's.

Technically, I did, because the vermiculite I bought was from Miracle Gro and they included liquid Miracle Gro in the vermiculite. I was sorta worried for awhile; I thought maybe it would fuck over my shroomz. It hasn't so far, though. hehe

A casing layer is merely a not nutritional layer. It's not supposed to contain any nutes. Miracle grow is a friggin chemcial. I dont understand the obsession with miracle grow.

I wonder since mushrooms are 90% water if they would suck up some of the miracle grow? If so, you'll be eating some tasty plant chemicals.

I think it would be somewhat wasteful considering mushrooms do not feed off of the casing layer.

miracle grow's not a 'chemical' it's nutrients that are normaly found in soil, it's just a lot of them. you could call it a chemical the way you could call potting soil a chemical. anyway, the mushrooms i got on my third flush using miracle grow were way bigger. 5 mushrooms outweighted my whole second flush of 15 mushrooms.
