December 21, 2012: A self-fulfilling prophecy?

It seems to me that this date is bound to be one of tremendous significance for the human race, and that it will be more or less because we have willed it to be so.
Think of all the psychedelic heads, all the mystics and meditators who will be congregated throughout the world on this day, or at least tripping alone. Even the squares will have mystical, apocalyptic visions fluttering around inside of them. The atmosphere of the news media will be one of paranoia no doubt, and all the fundamentalist Christians will be raving about the impending doom of the wicked. In an atmosphere as charged as this, something new and unimaginable will certainly be born.
Will it not?

My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

I like the fact that the date has so much energy built upon it. It opens up possibilities.

I know I'm not in your head right now, so I have to ask: wtf does 12-21-2012 have to do with anything?

it'd be interesting to see how this turns out... just like it was intersting to see how all the other prophecies turned out.

I personally prophesize that December 21st, 2012 will occur on... it will occur on... yes, it is becoming clearer... it will occur on a Friday.

My guess is, not a chance. There are not that many heads and such out there that give a rats ass about this date. Most people won't even think about it much and when it does come to pass everybody who gave a shit will be working on their excuses and diverting attention to the next date of human enlightenment.

I find the whole thing to be absolute rubbish... but, it would be cool if right now, somewhere in the universe a super ancient galactic civilization is awakening, preparing to return to Earth for the Mayans they left...
Boy, will they be surprised.

its about a movement of energy
many of us are cooperating already, especially in the younger generations
2012 and the symbols are being used to organize a spiritual movement if you will.

Can you provide proof of this please?
The more and more I hear people talk about 2012, the more I hear desperation. Everyone seems to be waiting for some external salvation and they seem to be ignoring the shit that's going on right now, here on Earth.
The New Age cult has got to be almost as bad as Fundamentalist Christians in their susceptibility to believe in magical supernatural events and back-turning on reality.

Granted, it would be nice if a giant space ship appeared blaring "Come Sail Away" by Styx (or better yet, "2112" by Rush) but I really don't see any basis for this.
The Mayan codex in their solar calendar merely note that December 20, 2012 will be the end of the Fifth Age of the Sun while December 21st will commence the dawning of the Sixth Age of the Sun. The calendar stops there at that exact date PROBABLY because whoever paid to have that thing made ran out of money, or the guy just got tired of carving, or the priest couldn't think up anything else at that point.
I think one of the final codex had a pictograph which illustrated a snake going up a man's anus. Maybe that's where the whole intergalactic civilization thing comes from. In any event, I don't think we'll see the Battlestar Galactica in the sky on the dawn of December 21, 2012.

It's an imporant date if I say so, but it's more a delimiter of my works which will be pretty much finished by then. As you know the morphagenic field will reshape the rat population and then they will get the gradient. Actual Judgement Day was 4/20/07 Read and weep, or rejoice for the morphagenic blueprint of Heaven has been laid for Earth. Took me forever almost but there you have it. Open eyes all. Do you have a calendar for the year 5000? Why bother calculating the next age's calendar when it is a few thousand years away...

Since the beginning of recorded history, the Middle East has been about to explode. Nothing has changed, other than the media brings it closer to home. Remember Nostradamus' predictions for the end of the world in the late 1990's with everything geared towards the middle east and the new world?

i have actually had a vision of this occurring on 7grams of mushrooms.
everywhere i walked during that trip i saw people celebrating for the sake of the moment, consciously choosing, sharing, and co-creating their realities. of course this wasn't really happening at the time. everybody was actually just going about their daily business.. but the mushrooms were very strong and the vision so real that it was one of the most convincing experiences i have ever had.

Nice duality All in all I think it's always our choice (it always been our choice) to make IT happen. That date represents what we want to see in it and from there. We chose our sings and give them meaning, all that matters is true Will
