> The calendar stops there at that exact date PROBABLY because whoever paid to have that thing made ran out of money
Do you have a calendar for the year 5000? Why bother calculating the next age's calendar when it is a few thousand years away...
> It seems to me that this date is bound to be one of tremendous significance for the human race, and that it will be more or less because we have willed it to be so.
I've lived through enough "end of world" prophecies that I am not at all worried about the next few.

I agree. Though this time, I will admit that I do believe that the Middle East is about to explode into COMPLETE chaos. And I don't mean that on any bullshit higher consciousness, higher dimension plane crap. I mean completely and utterly in this dimension.

Since the beginning of recorded history, the Middle East has been about to explode. Nothing has changed, other than the media brings it closer to home. Remember Nostradamus' predictions for the end of the world in the late 1990's with everything geared towards the middle east and the new world?

My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

i have actually had a vision of this occurring on 7grams of mushrooms.
everywhere i walked during that trip i saw people celebrating for the sake of the moment, consciously choosing, sharing, and co-creating their realities. of course this wasn't really happening at the time. everybody was actually just going about their daily business.. but the mushrooms were very strong and the vision so real that it was one of the most convincing experiences i have ever had.

Nice duality All in all I think it's always our choice (it always been our choice) to make IT happen. That date represents what we want to see in it and from there. We chose our sings and give them meaning, all that matters is true Will
