hey everyone. say somone had a cake ready to be birthed.. and he had all the equpment to make it also for a casing.. what would be a better choice? leaving it as a cake or crubling it up into a casing? which would produce a larger yeild, and if so what is average yeild from a casing? thanks -PeZ

Please search before asking questions. This has been covered many times, even myself as a newbie has seen it. But you answer is casing produces a larger yeild most of the time, depending on what type of spores. Usually it's in increase of 25-40% from casing. If I'm incorrect sorry I'm a newbie.

Case. Harder for contaminants to screw you and better yields if done right.

I agree, CASE but be aware of OVERLAY or the mycelium staying in the vegetative state too long. Remember the proper TIMING, HUMIDITY and TEMP are the key for a successful casing. Good Luck
