Thanks zee_werp, these mushrooms made me a very happy shroomer today.

We went for a walk along the river looking for them unsuccessfully, and ended up finding these two on the walk back to the truck, growing under/near a picnic table.

Always the way it is eh...first time I found morels was about 30 seconds after finally declaring "nah I don't think we're going to find any round here"...hahaha yum yum

Nice man, I found my first few pounds this week, haven't got any pictures of any finds from this year. Last year I spent the Morel season hiking the AT and only found a couple a handfuls I'm hoping for another year like 2005. Man what a year it was...

Nice GGreatOne! I hope to find some this weekend, been out three times so far, only to come back empty handed and dissapointed. What was the habitat besides the park bench, was the bench near a tree of some sort?

And to Adom, that second picture is massive. Are they good at that size?

Yup, they still taste great. The giants start showing up late in the season, we are just getting started where I am located.
