The refridgeration of spores
    #683451 - 06/17/02 07:56 AM (22 years, 7 months ago)

I have some spore syringes and I'm not going to use them for about 3 weeks, should I put them in the fridge or the freezer?

Thanks!

My dog says that you can put them in a ziploc bag and put them in a dark place in the refrigerator. No need to freeze. When you are ready to use them, take them out of the fridge and let them warm up to room temperature before injecting. Hope this helps.

Warming them up to room temperature is not really needed, since they will warm up the moment the suspension contacts the substrate when inoculating.
