Can this be a good combo or is it a bad idea like combining a hot tub with a twelve pack?

Well, I've sat in a sauna while on a candy flip and rather enjoyed it. I also tend to draw very hot baths and soak in them while tripping, however - its no hot-tub. Given the chance, I'll do it however. Especially near the end of an LSD trip, I have an over-powering urge to soak myself in warmth - I think its because I tend to be VERY active on most of my trips (hiking, dancing, whatever) - and by the end of the trip I tend to be very sore/stiff/achy.

Well according to namaste, I guess the same thing would happen if you got in a hot tub to long with beer.
Now if you got in for a few minutes and you are able to get back out I think that would be a enjoyable experience.

I went to the neighborhood pool and hot tub on shrooms once. Notice I said, "once". I live in a pretty crappy college student neighborhood, and the people are all about getting drunk and attracting cops and shit, but my friends and I thought the pool would be empty that night. We got there, and there were a few people, so we started swimming, to avoid the people in the hot tub.
Long story short, people started showing up and being loud and stupid...you know, typical "look at me be a doushe" type people. Anyway, as I was in the hot tub trying to keep sane in this fucked up situation, everything around me was getting worse. I'd hear little bits of conversations that made my mind go into very bad places. One pregnant chick said, "Yup, lotsa dirty thangs a happened in this here hot tub!"....fucking nasty. Then I hear a dude talking about when he's going to graduate highschool as he takes a swig of a Captain Morgan 1.75L (pool rules: no glass near the pool, no underage drinking....and I'm probably the oldest person there, tripping just enough to make it seem "serious"). It was horrible. I only had something like, 65-70 wet grams of P. cubensis, but the situation made it bad. Set really plays a huge role in the over-all quality of the trip. I was nervous and anxious for an hour after we left the pool.
I'm rambling, so I'll get to the point. Only do it if it's not a public place.

No, actually though, I was considering a hotel room hot tub. So it's in public but really quite private. That makes it a totally different situation I think. I won't have to worry about loud, obnoxious douchebags at all.
And it wasn't gonna be with mushrooms either. I actually had maybe foxy in mind but I don't know. It would be my first time so it might make sense to at least get a feel for it prior to hopping in.

I had an awsome time doing this. When your in the hot tub, you cant feel where your body starts or ends because of the same temps that your body and hot tub have in common.

I would suggest being carefu with the empathogens and the hot tub my friend, remember that empathogens bring your body temp up, the tub is already very damn hot, the combo can be pretty bad if your not careful. It shouldnt be a real big problem if you get out after the suggested 15 or so minutes, but I would advise against it. I can see myself hippy-flippin in a hot tub, loving it so much I forget about water, and end up being one of those people that are used in anti-drug campaigns as an example why drugs are bad mmmkay.
Just be careful and use common sense, don't stay in too long and you'll be fine. I know that hippy-flippin in a very hot bathtub is extremely pleasureful. Especially because mine is a whirlpool tub, and the light looks very trippy with the bubbles.
Anywho, just be safe.

That does sound like it has potential to cook some brains; I always thought the neurotoxicity with MDMA was associated with overheating?
I like teh mushroom/sally in my ghetto sweatlodge.

5-MeO-DiPT is fun, but if you're going to be in a hot tub, I'd suggest having a sitter, to keep track of time. You could easily adjust to the heat and stay there too long. Have a trippin' buddy. A hotel pool sounds like a good place, compared to the shitty situation I was in.

That, and oxidation of receptors in the brain. Antioxidants along with rests in dancing and water really keep any possible damage to 0%

Well, I'm gonna be paying almost double what you'd pay for a regular room for one with a jacuzzi in it. So I would kinda like to be able to stay in for more than 15 minutes at a time.
I'm wondering now if I'd be better off with one little ass L blotter. Although, that doesn't seem like it would be much different than the mushrooms + hot tub combo. But the foxy idea seems like a bad one to me now. I wasn't considering the body temp. being elevated part (just a teensy weensy oversight).
Hey namaste, you got any recollection of how much mushies you had and/or how long you were in, prior to blacking out? Were there any signs that you were gonna before you did?
Worst case I'll just plan on the one little blotter and I'll exercise extreme caution. I'll try getting in for 10 minutes to start, get out and see how I feel. I'd say that I'd just leave the chems. at home and stay sober for the night but I guess the room's got a fireplace too. [Ooooh, Aahhh]

I've been on shrooms along with about 6 or more people in a hot tub... fun times. However, we were VERY careful to keep the water temp at 101 and below... just in case we were in too long.
Tripping or not, 102 and above is sketchy for more than 30 minutes... I think at 103 it drops to 15 minutes and at 104 it's 10 minutes max.

Tripping and hot tub is great. Heated pool is better 80-90 degrees. A water park during summer is even better.

There was a thread about it some years back, but I can't seem to find it. Many people reported fainting shortly after getting out.

Oh, I'm sorry. That was stupid of me.
You never said it was you that blacked out.
Anyway, I'm sure there's gonna be a temp. control. I'll just keep it at no higher than 101. I think as long as I use a little caution I'll have a good time.
