Couple of questions
    #683189 - 06/17/02 04:50 AM (21 years, 3 months ago)

1 Ok, I?m aware of the 23-25 degree fruiting parameter. Because of the hot weather I?m forced to use ice packs in my terrarium. Getting the temperature right is hard, so which is better, a lower or higher temperature than the recommended one (by only a couple of degrees)?

2) My B+ fruit are maturing more slowly than say my Equadors. Do the B+?s mature more slowly or is it due to my fruiting conditions?

3) The last 2 fruit from my Equador flush grew pretty big. I picked them right after the veil had broken and the stems felt a little dry and not fleshy. Is this a sign that the substrate is lacking water? The casing is moist, but should I mist more often if this happens?

4) Can cobweb mold spread to colonizing jars? I had a casing in my incubator that got cobweb and now one of my Hawaiian jars seems to be growing fuzzy looking mycelium (sorry, no pic)

Thank you.

1) Depends on where your temp is going to be at when its a little higher or lower.
Too high and you'll kill your spores, to low and they'll take forever to colonize.

2)Yes
3)Of course. Mushies are 90% H2O
4)Yes.
