I have a clear rubber maid tote I was thinkin of making into my FC for 1/2pnt BRFcakes. Its about 2ft wide 2ft tall 3ft long. Can I use the perlite humidity tek for this? Only damp perlite and some water bottle spraying. Will this work? Also, how often should I spray and how many cakes can I put in here(as many as I can fit)? Wasnt sure if this was to big to keep humidity with perlite or not? Didnt know if # of cakes made any difference? Please help. There almost fully colonized. Thank You.

it should work with perlite. it sounds like its small enough. also i would give the cakes 2 inches of space atleast. also as RR has told many drill holes in all 6 sides, a hundred or so. it will help with fae and reduce contaminants. 4 inches of rinced and well drained perlite should do fine.

Sounds good to me. I second the drilling of holes. What are you using for a light source?

Was just planning on sitting it in a well lit room, Will that be a problem, how many hours a day will it need light? Would like to keep in closet when I got company ofcourse. Would like to keep in closet as much as possible, but I know it needs light. Should I rig a light in closet or will sitting it out in a well lit room a few hours a day be sufficiant?
