They grow on you. Apparently not so well on me. I'm sick and tired of shaving, but my patchy sideburns may think otherwise. My goatee is rockin it but the rest is lackluster. Who's got some Rogaine?

My face hasn't been completely smooth in 6 years. Chuck Norris has a beard, so can I.

I feel you.
I can do the mustache & goatee, with sideburns.. the rest is somewhat scruffy and not so full. Wish I could do a diesel as fuck beard but it's impossible for me.

Yeah. I've been lookin real haggard the past week. Not shaving or brushing my hair at all, just kinda rolling outta bed, into the shower, and on with my day.

I just did a pretty good trim on my beard. It was getting a bit out of hand, even by my standards. I let it grow till I've had enough and then I use the 1/2" setting on my trimmers and take it down.

I can achieve a full beard EXCEPT that tiny area that connects the mustache with the rest of it. Thus I cant grow a handle bar mustache

To everyone in this thread, you have nothing to complain about.
My beard goes literally to the rim of my eye sockets, connects both under my ears and down my neck.
It's nothing to be happy about.
Do you have any idea how hard it is not to look like a scrubby lumberjack in a situation like that?
I don't either.

me too. when i first started growing a full beard (maybe 3+ years ago) i was all worried that it was a bit scraggly. now i'll trim the neck line down to nothing and 6 hours later it's all stubbly again.

I cant grow a full beard, but I dont let that stop me! I just need to keep it trimmed to a #2 - its not thick and full, but looks good enough. If I try and grow it much longer, it ends up going all curly and I look like a giant walking testicle.
Havn't had a clean shave in 4 years. Mind you, I'm tempted to try shaving regularly for a few months just to see if it can help it grow back in a bit thicker.
But, think its mostly a matter of genes. My dad cant grow a beard either, or anyone on his side of the family, and theres some native on my moms side of the family - and whens the last time you saw a fully bearded native man?

I've been rocking a nice full beard for over a year now. It was pretty burly during the winter months, and kept my face damn warm!
Now I trim it down to a 3 on my beard trimmer every 2 weeks or so.

It cant be that bad..
Mine is thin all around looks good from far away but dont get close.
If you get a beard trimmer it gives the slower growing hair a chance to get the same lengh as the fast ones and it looks more full.
