Wet Spot In Vitro Question
    #6827682 - 04/24/07 01:46 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

I had a fully colonized jar that seemed to get a small area (about the size of a dime) of wet spot while I was waiting for some hpoo.

I didn't use this jar as spawn and just set it aside and kinda forgot about it.

I looked at it the other day and it has started to fruit in vitro.

The wet spot didn't seem to spread or get any bigger, so I'm wondering if these fruits would be ok to eat or would the wet spot bacteria make them unhealthy?

What would have been the harm in using this jar (with only a small area of wet spot) with the other spawn?

Thanks!

You probably just had an area with metabolites. However, I wouldn't use a questionable jar as spawn, but there is no problem with birthing it and letting the fruits grow.
