Fridge?
    #6824216 - 04/23/07 05:56 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

hey everyone, i know this is probably a dumb ? but ill give it shot. i was going to use an old fridge as a little grow room to keep my Fruiting chamber(s) in, but when i was checking it out i saw that the bottom had a little hole (only about an inch in diameter) that was from rust. if i ws to pressure wash it down and clean it up real good would it still be ok to use?? i can take a pic of it if someone would like to see. Thanks

if you dont expand the hole in the bottem from pressure washing and then clean it with lysol, i dont see why there would be a problem. its air tight and climate adjustable.

When your fruiting them they are fully colonized so its harder for them to get contaminated, so most likely they won't. But i would still wash it.

just make sure theres no standing water, also try putting a sheet of sheet metal or plexi-glass down over the rust so that nothing is ever in direct contact with it.

The idea is to prevent contaminates in the air from entering your grow. I would defiantly put a sheet of SOMETHING over the hole.

I use a 24 ft upright dead freezer as a fruiting chamber.
And, another as an incubator.
