MAOIs and Paxil

I'm on Paxil right now, 40mg a day, and I was wondering about its intereaction with MAO inhibitors. I have read that combining them could be harmful, but I don't remember where. I'm interesting in taking some MAOIs to potentiate shroom trips and for an oral DMT trip (if I can get some ayahusca) etc. Would it be dangerous to combine these two?

Also, relatedly, is St. John's Wort an MAOI? I've think it is, but I'm not entirely sure.

MAOI's and any SSRI (Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, etc.) is a no-no combination. It can (and will) lead to seritonin syndrome, which can be deadly. Avoid MAOI's at all costs while on an SSRI. Paxil has a relatively short half life compared to other ssri's (about 20 hours, but it varies person to person), and if you really want to take an maoi, medical literature reccomends at least 2 weeks before taking an maoi, but with paxil you could probably get away with a week and a half due to its short half life, but why risk it?
From what I gather, Saint Johns Wort isn't an maoi.

MAOI + PAXIL CAN EASILY KILL !!!

Just did some research on St. John's Wort, being a 1 week user myself & satisfied about it's mood enhancement. SJW in fact IS a mild MAOI inhibitor and should NOT be combined with Paxil anyhoo.

Thanks, that puts to rest the niggling questions I was having about that. I think I'll just settle with regular shroom trips without the added danger of combining the SSRIs and MAOIs. Thanks
