TiT question
    #6819366 - 04/22/07 02:40 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Instead of using rubbermaid-style containers for my TiT I'm thinking of using two big plastic buckets, the kind that holds paint or chemicals or whatever. I'm planning on incubating 6 jars at a time, so they would be really comfy, but do you think there will be enough water?

it'l work, as long as the water is able to ride up the sides a few inches. put a tiny bit of bleach in the TiT water. if you can smell bleach, you may have put too much in.

I don't see why 5 gallon buckets wouldn't work, it might take longer for it to heat up initially because of the thicker plastic, but probably not, should work fabulously.

a TiT rely's on having two vessels of the same size and type, you put the first vessel on the ground, put some water in it, take the second vessel, and place inside the first, push the second vessel down until you have water coming up to about an inch from the top, just before spilling over, you may have to add, or subtract more TiT water, sinch down with zip ties, there should be an aquarium heater, in between the bottom of the two vessels. (making sure it does not touch either the inner bottom of the fist vessel, or the outer bottom of the second as this will cause it to turn off), then your contents are placed inside the heated TiT, and lid placed on.

that's what TiT water is.

I bought a tit bulk grow kit, i had sucess with growing 30 pf style cakes in a tote with perlite and a aquarium pump bubbling thru a jar then into the tote.  My bulk kit came with a aquarium pump.  the sterlite container where the bulk  floats on top of the water.  my question is will the pump help remove co2 buildup? do i need to build some sort of exhaust system maby tubing that hovers on top of the bulk slab Im home all the time so i can fan it as much as i want.  will this be enough fae as i normally see 1-2 inch holes in totes stuffed with polyfill for bulk.  I plan to incubate 2 5 grain bags as my apt is normally 63 deg f, 78 deg f should be alright? tested my heater it heats the water perfect. also can i put bleach in the water or will this affect my shroomies, i heard lysol can cause mutations  also how do i start a new thread or topic?
