I went hunting down by my local river today and checked out last year's caerulipes spot...
It was HOT...
here are some pictures...
They are kind of a pain in the ass to harvest without breaking them apart, as they love to bunch up like this under tightly woven weeds/underbrush.. It took me about an hour or two to cut each one individually.
and theres a baby agrocybe, which also fruit abundantly on the mulch.
Caerulipes are very beautiful, and sooo dank.

Wow, awesome haul!!
Maybe bring a grocery bag with handles next time. It's really convenient, and you won't have to store anything in plastic.
Thanks for sharing the photos, those are very interesting looking.

thanks guys.. I'm so excited..
Ice.. I usually eat an eighth of cubensis to have a nice trip, but I only eat about a gram or so of these guys.. Last year me and my friend just mixed about 7 or 8 of these small guys in some chili and did not return to reality for 7 hours... Lots of visuals; water flowing in wood, slate roofs, almost everything.. I even remember seeing spiders and other insects on my friends walls, which of course were not there... I never get such intense visuals off cubensis.

Don't worry sativa, no one even saw me
I could have sworn I saw a sign graffiti'd with 'Shroom Zone'. But I couldn't really read it, and I was mighty high.. We'll have to check it out later..
I can't believe there is such an abundance of these psilocybes--it is easier to find these in this spot than the occasional agrocybe or other LBM..

Mustard man lets get this thread going and show em what virginia is all about. I dont have a camera right now, but im sure i can work it out. And just to be completly honest, i wouldnt of found em on the mulch if it werent for your finds today. Every time i go there i walk right past the mulch and into the woods. Not as many growing in the woods. I feel stupid not seeing em. Actually i was stepping on em every tim i went in. O and i have never seen clusters like that until i started peeling that nasty grass crap(omg im itchy right now) of the mulch.
So everyone go out and find em. (but stay safe and smart)

yeap sativa, thats where I find they grow in abundance. The mulchy debris underthe underbrush. I believe the weedy underbrush is critical to these mushrooms survival, because otherwise they get burnt up in the sun. This is why I try to simply move the weeds aside, instead of pulling them up like I did last year. I think this will help keep the patches blooming...
I clipped all the mushrooms I picked with scissors, so Im hoping they will re-grow in a week or two. Pray for rain

Well my room mate fucked the grass up a lil today. I bitched em out and made him fix it lmao.At least i made him use scissors and told him to leave pins. I left a shit load. Im going in the morning for round two.hell ill even throw a gallon of water on it for us. O and check around the corner where the lil dam is at. You wont be let down. And the caps at the mulch spot are huge compared the woods right next to it. o and i like fat women
