Lost PC rocker...
    #6816792 - 04/21/07 06:59 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Problem: Ok well my pressure cooker was over at a friends house and just my
luck, I lost the rocker that goes on top that hole during the moving process.

Question: is it possible to replace the rocker with some sort of
foreign object? mb a good size ball of tin foil?
any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Sage

Sadly, you need to find a REPLACEMENT.
You cannot simply make a weight together.
That would work.

Switch to making PF style jars until you get your replacement.

Replace it with a control valve. Always watch your PC.

NOT A GOOD IDEA.
These are made for AA PC's.
AA PC's are made of 1/2 inch thick aluminum alloy.
(built like a tank)

I would not suggest installing one on a thin walled PC, that uses a rubber seal.

The seal might blow out, before this type valve is set to release.
(around 26 psi)

Getting scalded or blasted with high pressure steam.
Could get you time in a trauma/burn unit.

Or, lifting one that looks like it will work & doesn't hold pressure.
Then, be plagued with contaminates for years to come.

Stealing to feed yourself, if starving is one thing.
Stealing to support a hobby, is just plain sad.
Not to mention stupid.

Damn. I haven't even done anything yet.

and there's already so much controversy.

SO. heres my plan:

I'm going down to the local Wal-Mart and
I'm going to call the youngest employee
to the PC section. At this time i will
ask him if I may look into the box
Ill pull out the rocker and look at it.
I will explain the dilemma I have
and furthermore ask the young man
if i could pay him 1$ for the item.
he will say yes.

This thread has been closed.

Reason:
Stealing is stealing. As much as I hate wal mart, I would never steal from them, nor condone anyone who does. Don't steal, because there's no worse life form on the planet than a fucking theif. I've known a lot of theives in my life and if they'll steal from a store, they'll steal from their best friend. Everyone I've ever known who bragged of stealing, ended up stealing from me when my back was turned, so fuck off.
