Hrm... the recipes I've been looking at haven't used yeast, although I've seen a number of non-MEA ones that do. The additives I was referring to were Potassium Phosphate Dibasic and Calcium Carbonate, the only other things in the recipe I've been looking at.

I believe that you need the nutritional yeast for nutrients for the mycelium.
