Check out this erowid page.
Batman vs. MDMA from 1988. If I can find this issue on the net for cheap, I might buy it. Looks hilarious.
I wonder which drugs Batmans archrivals used?
Joker? Must have used mushrooms on a daily basis. He found almost everything funny. Riddler? The way he acts makes me think he was a speed freak. Penguin? You didn't really think he was smoking tobacco did you? You can tell he smokes weed. Check out that big gut he's got from getting the munchies. Catwoman? She's a junkie. She NEEDS to eat, but you know how those heroin addicts get.

Ha ha...I remember reading that issue when I was a little kid! It wasn't until years later I realised E was a real drug
From what I recall, the users/dealers in the story were all stockbroker-yuppie types -- not exactly the most obvious MDMA-using demographic...I think the writer was making a not-so-oblique reference to cocaine, but the name "Ecstasy" is just so much more comic-booky...
Believe it or not, I can still remember one quote from it, spoken by our diabolical E-crazed fiend:
"I wonder if other people hear voices in their heads? I certainly do. It says: I wonder if other people hear voices in their heads? I certainly do..."
Holy propaganda!

I found the issue. Click HERE to purchase it from milehighcomics.com.
I don't know if i'll get it or not. Probably not, but it's less than $4 before shipping. I tried to find out what the shipping costs would be, but it wouldn't tell me because it said that my browser isn't accepting cookies. Fuck 'em.

That picture of the joker from the old 70's series would at one time brought a chill to my spine. The joker was my fav villan but he freaked the hell out of me. Seeing reruns of the old show with it's flannel costumes and "ZANEY!" effects and subtitle accompanied fight scenes "KAPOWEE" is all a bit camp now, just doesn't have the same affect. Tim burton did an exellent job with the original film (none have come anywhere as close since imo) and Jack nicholson as the joker was perfection. Oh and batman the animated series was a true return to the dark knight adventures.

Yeah Cesar Romero's Joker from the 60's series was both creepy and goofy at the same time, which is probably why I love it so much. Jack Nicholson did a very good job as the Joker as well. Anyone else going to buy this comic book? If you do, let me know how it is. How much you wanna bet Batman fights 2CT-7 in a future issue.
