vermiculite freshness questiong

i have a bag of verm from about 6 monthes ago its been opena nd under my bd the home fuckin time lol :P its been sityting there since i last needed it im wondering if i could do the micro sterilization to it and should it be fine after that? or should i trash this BIG bag of verm and fork out another 5$? THX!

what are you going to be using the verm for? In your substrate or as a casing layer? If its in your substrate your already sterelizing that when you PC. If its your casing layer bake it in the oven at 300 or pour in some boiling water when your hydrating..either way i think you'll be fine
