It varies from person to person. I was in the top of my class in my high school. I could've gotten away with murder. I never smoked, but whenever brownies were available, I'd buy them up, and eat some between classes. School was fucking great those days. However, for most people, don't do it. Un;ess you can control yourself very well, you'll look like a complete jackass.

I don't mean to come off as an arrogant asshole.
I just get verysick of people constantly saying smoking is detrimental to your performance, when myself and quite a few of my friends are good examples to the contrary. I realize you were just stating your opinion, I'm just used to dealing with people who just recite stereotypes rather than actually learn the truth.

oh noo I wasn't stereotyping you at all.
it really bothers me when people say that too when there are people.. like you I'm sure... that can prove it otherwise. I just hate seeing people talk so much about doing drugs at school bc most of them are the ones that shouldn't be doing them in the first place and are bragging about it to everyone else.

Shit man you have to toke up before school man. As long as you dont act like a complete moron then you will not get caught. Just throw back some Rohtos. As long as your eyes aren't cashed then noone will ever expect a thing. And besides its 420 tomorrow, you have to uphold the tradition.

High school is all about going to class stoned. A monkey could succeed in high school, so I never took it that seriously or thought twice about going to class stoned. I'm pretty sure I didn't go a single day sober senior year, and I never got caught. It is really easy to get away with, at least for me, though it does vary from person to person.

Why do you think it's called HIGH school ? I've toked twice before college classes , both were more boring then usual for some reason. There are frequently some stoned people in my classes and the untrained eye can't spot them  I remember 420 in High School , you could feel the ambience had changed after dinner

not to be the bad advice guy... but i smoked before school ever since i started smoking. so basically, 8th grade all the way through college (bachelors degree, top of my class - 3.89). Throughout all this, I was still going back home on lunch breaks to smoke again (as much as possible in HS, everyday in college).
i know plenty of people that could never do this, so it's really subjective. i will also have to agree that school is not the place to do drugs - despite the many times i was in trouble regarding drugs and school - still some of the best years!

I'm a senior in high school and I only smoke at night or on weekends simply because I feel it is important that I take care of my work first, thereby using marijuana as an incentive to finish my duties. Not to mention the fact that it would be extremely obvious that I was stoned if I were to be high during school.
It's all relative to you as an individual and the risks you're willing to take. Keep the smoking in moderation and get your shit done first.

lol I went to half my first year university classes high and even did a few exams half-baked. I bet as you become a bigger stoner you wont consider it a big deal anymore and will probably do it, and then more and more..
IMO weed can actually help you concentrate because you forget about everything else thats on your mind exccept for what your paying attention to. Its a balance of short term remembering and forgetting that makes for good concentration.

My experiences with mj during school especially during English class was pleasant as long as my friends were aware so they fixated their attention away from me so that I'd go unattended to some of the time while there were a few moments I had to make an attempt at explaining a lesson. The English teacher knew I smoked since it was announced in one of my reports and she just added a few curious questions about what happened and she gave me a B-. Another time she gave me a dead stare when I had puffy red eyes and a grin to match it enough to conclude a solid suspicion that I was baked. She just swept me away with a stack of papers to pass out and no one ever noticed or didn't care.
I never attempted it in any other periods.

Man... I used to smoke every day in high school, especially senior year. Got good grades and all that. Just bring your Clear Eyes, maybe some spray on deoderant, and get blaaaaaazed.

i have smoked many times befor class and shit but i do construction for the first half of the day and its just not as fun when i get mad stoned at 6 in the morning and go do hard labor i usually smoke on my way back to regular class even if it means smokin on the bus... which i have done a few times.. mad weird but i didnt get caught just blew my hit out my window, man i fuckin love glass chilliums

I dropped out of high school around the time I started blazing every day and in the mornings before class... but that's just me. I still blaze a shitload but I've learned how to keep it from interfering with other... duties. I fail at that, to some extent.
